Course Overview

This course isn’t just about theory. You’ll make a film from start to finish with a team, under professional guidance. Gain practical experience in filmmaking, acting, directing, assistant directing, producing, or cinematography, build valuable industry connections, and showcase your work in a real-world setting. For anyone 18 or older, including actors, aspiring producers or assistant directors, cinematographers, and other filmmaking enthusiasts, this course is a comprehensive, hands-on launchpad to turn your creative ideas into a finished project.

2023 Student Film: Hosts

Participants gain hands-on experience producing a short film from a professional script and creative prompt. Over six weeks, they work in real-world departmental roles including AD, Art Department, Talent, and Camera, building technical skills, collaboration experience, and portfolio-ready work. Participants earn IMDb credit, receive professional headshots, and may attend an award ceremony and film screening for their work.

6-Week Class | Mondays & Wednesdays | 6pm–9pm

Studio Days: Nu Millennium Multimedia Studios located at  525 Mildred Ave, Clifton Heights, PA 19018)

Students learn the full filmmaking pipeline from script development through production. At the end of the class, the cohort will shoot a short film on one or both potential filming days listed below.

A red carpet screening will follow the end of the program.

ORIENTATION – Mandatory for all students.

POTENTIAL FILMING DAYS 

May 9th and May 10th, 2026

Final scheduling will be announced in class.
Students must hold both dates until the official shooting schedule is locked.

TUITION

Tuition, Payment, and Cancellation Policy

  • Total Cost: $1,250 (See Discount Below)

Payment Options:

  1. Installment Plan:

    • Downpayment: $500 (due upon acceptance; final day to secure your spot. Final Due Date to make payments: March 27th, 2026

    • Remaining Balance: Three automatic payments of $250 every two weeks from your initial payment date which varies per person. 

PLEASE NOTE: Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of payment and is processed on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of acceptance status. If payment is not received before the class reaches capacity, you may be added to the “Roll Over” waitlist for the next available offering.

  1. Full Payment Option (Discounted):

    • Pay in full upfront and receive a –$250 discount if paid for by March 20th, 2026. 

    • Total Cost if Paid in Full: $1,000

Requirements:

  • Full tuition must be paid to participate in filming and receive class deliverables

Cancellation Policy:

  • No refunds once payments are made

  • Spot transfers allowed if a new eligible student takes your place

  • Cancellations after class or production begins may forfeit tuition

  • Administrative approval required for exceptions

Purpose of Policy:
This policy ensures that all students can participate fully, protects the integrity of the production schedule, and ensures the class can cover costs for instructors, equipment, locations, and other production resources without disruption.

2 unexcused absences participation may be removed

All students are assigned roles in the film project. Therefore, if you know in advance that you will miss a day or two, please inform us ahead of time so it does not affect your role or disrupt the production. This will not count as an absence.
